Piece of the Mind
Poem:
It’s hard to think they won’t believe in you,
Looking in the mirror, and you wonder what you seeing through
Look beyond the glass, I could tell you that the means is you
Alternating dreamers, on a dream hunt, for the dreamers loot
I been waiting patiently, no more resisting, or delays,
We all been working, on a mission, tryna find it out the maze
I hate saying this is poetry, this my mind spilt on a page,
A cup of orange juice, on my favorite pajama pants
I remember days and I remember times,
Unleashing to the world, with the freedom in my mind
Imagination flowing, playing before dinner time
4 walls, 1 room, and I still came up fine
Intertwined with a spirit of a winner, who gon climb
Up out the barrel, and along with me, like I’m Lebron
The team on my back, and others who seek, can tag along
In arms reach, never be missing, how far the distance
I could reach inside your soul, let you know, the phone is ringing
Alarming, that you didn’t know, I thought the pictures
Would help you understand, the expansion of all that was quoted inside of the scriptures
But now we take a notice, that this life done got bigger
Bigger Thomas the same age as me, so what’s the difference
Mistakes, in times, don’t fail to repeat, so pay attention
Neglecting, is the root of defeat, what’s your intention
Taking time, with a taste like it’s sweet, but life gives lemons
